The initial concept was pretty straight forward – to create a label with a focus on vintage American apparel without sacrificing the details. Today, designer Shinsuke Takizawa and that label, NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD), have both transcend from the insular fashion community of Harajuku to a world-wide audience. Audience that include chopper/hot rod devotees to hip-hop persona, who all have marked the NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD) shop as a must-visit location on their trip to Tokyo. As a “thank you” to the 15 years of support, Takizawa and company will be hosting a celebratory party tomorrow at Shibuya’s WOMB club.
