AleXsandro Palombo is not one to shy away from controversy. After a debacle involving Anne Frank and certain expletive in his Fall 2006 collection, the designer/illustrator/humorous outspoken extraordinaire has started an illustration blog Humor Chic exploring lives of fashion and political icons in fantastical light with some very opinionated insight. Featured not too long ago on Interview Magazine, the illustrator’s depiction of a mini Karl Lagerfeld saga adds to the extensive cache of work created around the pony-tailed fashion maestro. The simple illustrations take Lagerfeld on a journey around Paris– via: le metro, alas! Check out also Palombo’s latest entry on John Galliano, the eternal child of fashion. Whether you concur with Palombo’s views or not, the illustrations are fun to peruse and do offer interesting insights (often ones lingering in thoughts of many but not voiced for reasons).
