BAPE’s low top number, the Skullsta, becomes the creative canvas of collaboration for NIGO and UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi. The duo go way back to fifteen years ago in their joint retail venture, NOWHERE, which popped up again earlier this year at London’s Dover Street Market in a temporary revival. Now the duo is back and as we had previously reported, came up with stadium jackets due to release very soon on Dec. 5. As for sneakers due to release in 2010 that were discussed alongside the stadium jackets, one of the Skullsta is created with UNDERCOVER using the label’s Spring/Summer 2010 “Less but Better” coloring. The UNDERCOVER version is crafted from a velvety smooth black suede with a turquoise suede Sta and the UNDERCOVER information on the heel. Meanwhile, NIGO and Takahashi’s The Last Orgy 2 version is a brighter number with an off-white suede upper and turquoise accents matching the UNDERCOVER version.
