For what it’s worth, everyone is supposed to work hard and make the world a better place for the future generation. However, channel flip to CNN and it’s rather blatant that the world is rather worse for wear. There are countless innocent victims of war, but the most defenseless of them all are children. To set things right, or as right as they possibly can be, War Child International is a network of organizations aiming to help children affected by war.
In celebration of Clarks Originals’ 60th Anniversary and to give back to the community, the heritage footwear label has brought together a host of artists and personalities to customize its signature Desert Boot to be put up for auction benefiting War Child. Some of the participating artists and personalities include DJ Mr. Mix, fashion illustrator Piet Paris and image-stylist Dyanne Beekman co-operated. The shoes are up for auction online at clarks.nl and clarks.be from Nov. 30 to Dec. 9 with all profit going towards immediate, effective and sustainable aid for children caught up in the horrors of war.
