This batch of holiday releases from Nike SB is a reminder that the clean, rugged SBs are sometimes the best executed. In most of these models, the approach is direct without overly distracting colorways. The Skate Mental Dunk Hi is perhaps the only model with any vibrancy, and even the blue swoosh is toned down by the brown and gray through the rest of the sneaker. The Classic high is a model we haven’t often seen, and this colorway keeps it classic with black, red hints, and a white sole and swoosh. The chocolate brown suede Bruins are a great modern sneaker with barely any noticeable branding at all. This month’s Dunk low general release is a dark-themed perforated leather and blue suede. And the Stefan Janoski model is a mostly monochrome model with black and tonal gray.
