Fellow graffiti artist, curiosity seekers, and midnight revelers join staffs from MOTHER last Thursday evening as the creative agency host the very first exhibition by the omnipresent graffiti icon, B.N.E. Organized by street art blog Animal and hosted by MOTHER, the event saw close to 700 guests, each braved frigid -10 temperature to attest the latest installations by the enigmatic artist, including new paintings, wall mural, and video presentations spread across 2 floors of the 3-story building. Though the building, a former 36,250 square feet warehouse recently brought by MOTHER, it could not contain the “centerpiece” of the exhibition, a projection billboard declaring “BNE WAS HERE” on the adjunct rooftop at the street corner of West 43rd Street and 11th Avenue. The temporary space, now named “BNE Gallery” will be open to the general public 7 days a week till Wednesday, December 30th. Before the building be converted to MOTHER’s new corporate headquarter.
