Releasing next January 21st is the first drop from the adidas Consortium Classic Runners Pack consisting of Torsion Special and ZX8000 models. Dating back to 1990, the Torsion Special debuted as an outdoor, trail running shoes that inherited the blood lines of ZX series runners. This 2010 Spring Summer version takes the classic silhouette sprinkled with sesame, orange and black colors that is constructed in a blend of premium coated leather, soft nubuck and vividly colored rip stop materials on the uppers. Characterized by the Torsion system and its special branding on the side panel as well as outdoor style round laces that is accessorized with a Consortium lace jewel.
On the other hand the ZX8000 is the older brother that came onto the scene in 1988 also utilizing the Torsion system. This purpose built athletic runners possessed a futuristic design at the time and this 2010 version converts the runner into a more wearable piece with the use of premium leather, suede and ballistic micro nylon uppers on top of basic white midsole. 3M detailing highlights the three stripes on the side and the heel trim and this model also features the Consortium lace jewel.
