There’s a good reason why clean, minimal, suave is a timeless look. The highly anticipated Jil Sander x UNIQLO collaboration which debuted this season had received tremendously wonderful response (slim-fitted button downs, trenches and voluminous puffer sporting exaggerated collars were flying out of UNIQLO’s SoHo flagship) and the beloved collection is coming back again for all in Spring/Summer 2010. Continuing to adopt pure tailoring and avant-garde textiles into contemporary silhouettes, the upcoming +J collection operates on three easy concepts – iconic simplicity, natural nobility, and clarity and lightness. The collection still pursues Jil Sander’s androgynous aesthetics, bridging feminine and masculine with functional elegance and softly articulated distinguished shapes via: twists on classic items such as trench coats with a a placket mimicking those on button downs, structured blazers and jackets. The general design direction doesn’t veer far from the Fall/Winter 2009 collection, and proves to be a solid collection operating on a tried, true and loved line-up that will stand strong through seasons and ephemeral trends.   images via: Selectism
