Japan’s NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD) and fragment design will be starting 2010 with fantastic retail promises in forms of special collaborative projects that will be available right after New Year’s Day on Jan. 2. The collaborative projects includes “Vintage Custom Works 2010″ which had been featured on Honeyee recently. “Vintage Custom Works 2010″ includes riders jackets in both cotton and leather variations, zip-up hoodies and tees, all featuring matching graphics and embroidery patches in tough vintage riding styles. With a complete line of riding tops and outerwear ready for 2010, of course one cannot do without matching denim. Thus, both labels came together to create a collaborative distressed denim based on Levi’s 501 XX from 1947. The aesthetics the duo was aiming for is a mix of Nevada jeans with utilitarian work wear, thus specially washed and distressed to create a deliberate lived-in look. On the back pockets, “Destroy” and “Freedom” are printed in white above each pocket, working the spirit of fearlessness and liberation in riding. Both the jeans and “Vintage Custom Works 2010″ collection are due to drop on Jan. 2 at NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD) Tokyo and HOODS stores.
