Creative Recreation had been very very hard at work for 2009, and their effort shines through a preview of what’s to come from the label for Fall 2010. Departing from the dearly beloved sneakers, the label has generously debuted 11 new silhouettes for fall. The new styles are highly sophisticated in construction, and living up to the label’s name, extremely creative in terms of design and conception. The collection features numerous numbers based of fall-appropriate boots, and most cuts are slim.
Going through a run down of Creative Recreation’s new additions and lines, three new styles are added to the label’s Choice category with a noteworthy Costello. The Costello takes on an interesting coalition of tan Timberland boot, boat shoe and hiking boots all into one shoe. The shoe is roomy with a thick dark brown leather covered ankle, sitting a top wheat-colored suede upper which is accented with brown leather laces running through the middle and moccasin toes in style of boat shoes. Thick black soles and tough triangular lace hoops create a sturdy number that is both street and outdoor ready. In the Select cateogry, a sleek suede number, the Lioni boot, is added as a welcomed new member alongside the Lanza which is a create casual low top that balances sophistication with a supple tough of red suede and leather. Another category worth looking at is the label’s high end luxury Italian line, with three creations that will not cease to surprise. There is the laid-back Antonello which fuses the rugged resilience of outdoor hiking boots with urban sensibility with soft red laces and thinner dark soles; the hi-top Cesario Dress which recreates the label’s classic Cesario sneaker into a debonair rustic brogue number in burnished brown leather complete with the signature wide strap across the body; last but not least, the functional, tall city boot with a slim silhouette and double buckled ankle straps of a biker discernment, named Corozzo Dress.
