In response to a consumer demand for functional running sneakers that are well designed and clean, adidas started the ZX line of kicks back in the 80s, starting with the ZX500. The line then evolved into other models over the years and come to include ZX700, ZX700 Boat and one of its most popular models, the ZX800 (first released in 1986) is now available in a new tonal black with a focus on a play of texture.
Just dropped at Schuh-You is the adidas Originals ZX800 in black, crafted from a mix of suede and leather on the upper. The toe box and tongue are stay smooth in black leather while the stripe details and front are accented in suede. The smooth texture is then contrasted with an embossed check panel on the side and the heel tab with three protruding horizontal stripe accents. The soles are a mix of black with white, lightening up the shoes and making them a tad less serious than if it was to be entirely black. A nice classy choice of running sneakers that will not only look good on the streets but also withstand a quick round of cardio at the gym if need be.
