The 2010 barrage of Air Jordan VI (6) releases continues, and this time in an unexpected manner–a Los Angeles Lakers colorway. First up this year was the black and varsity red version, and next to come is the oreo (black and white), and the Pistons colorways, not to mention the motorsports and white and red versions. The upper of this model is comprised of a 3M reflective material as well as a black suede. The midsole is black, which contrasts with an icy clear outsole. The Lakers colors appear only in the contrast stitching on the upper and in the embroidery on the heel, but it gives the shoe a theme that is undeniable. With the Air Jordan being a typically Chicago-based model for clear reasons, the idea of a Laker colorway may irk some Jordan purists, yet the appeal of this model may go beyond the typical Air Jordan enthusiast. These are available in a very limited run at marqueesole.
