Givenchy’s current Creative Director, Ricardo Tisci, is somewhat of a savior to the previously tired House of Givenchy. The darkly romantic designer brings his unparalleled and boundless imagination to the design table and fused it with a female intuition for details and dedicated craftsmanship, reviving the fashion house with fresh energy and put the label back on the map. This season, the designer continues his journey of opulence but not with historical romantic sentiments. Tisci drew inspiration from rock music and produced a collection of accessories that are heavily reliant on soft, supple leather and studded with star motifs. Mesh caps sport a black leather, metal star studded front and belts are crafted with the same mindset. Casual backpacks feature a contrast outer of leather front pocket and nylon upper, accented with studded leather straps. Street-ready basic accessories pieces are toughened with Givenchy’s dose of luxury and attention to details for the self-respecting music man. Put an edge into your spring/summer wardrobe and mix these with classic pieces for an interesting contrast. The collection is now available at select retailers such as Japan’s 3rd Culture. via: honeyee
