OriginalFake x Wonderwall 10th Anniversary Collaboration Pack

Esteemed interior design firm Wonderwall celebrates its 10th anniversary of creating some of the most intriguing and provocative spaces in the world with a collaborative product project with KAWS’ OriginalFake.

Founded my Masamichi Katayama in 2000, Wonderwall brings about an uninhibited sense of energy and creativity into architecture and interior design that breaks boundaries while respecting traditions of architecture. His “total concept” design decrees that environments should touch the subconscious of the consumer and occupant through all senses. Best known for retail design, Wonderwall has since 2000 branched into architecture and product design as well. Wandering around the world, it is difficult not to run into a Wonderwall creation. To name a few, the Nike Flagship Store Harajuku (unveiled in 2009), UNIQLO flagship at Paris Opera, BAPE Store Los Angeles, Ice Cream Store Hong Kong and UNIQLO SoHo are just a few to name from the company’s immensely impressive portfolio.

For the collaboration, KAWS designed a special Wonderwall character featuring a pictorial rendition of “wall” injected with a sense of “wonder” from KAWS’ signature crosses for eyes. The Wonderwall character finds itself onto tees in black and white versions, with the white one featuring a more true-to-life sedimentary red for bricks and the black one staying chill in tonal black with yellow eyes. The back of the tee features both “Wonderwall” and “OriginalFake”, and each tee comes with corresponding figurines of the walls.

The collaborative anniversary pack is due to release next week on Feb. 6 at Wonderwall Web Shop and OriginalFake stores in OriginalFake Aoyama and Isetan Shinjuku. via: honeyee
