Japanese denim label, Evisu, is well trusted for its experience in making well-fitted, quality denim that flatters in every possible manner. This season, the label extends its portfolio to include a newly evolved collection for men. The Spring/Summer 2010 Evisu collection for men is created with the merging of Evisu Mainline and Heritage collection, and takes inspiration from the label’s early nineties’ range, “Labor”.
The new season is inspired by classic Japanese styles, vintage American military uniform and American workwear, but with a contemporary, urban twist. As usual, the label features a wonderfully extensive line of denim in various fabrics, weight, washes and fit. Whether you are a fan of raw denim or comfortable vintage-worn pants or resin coated blues; love the slim fit, a masculine regular fit or a rock and roll skinny style, there is a perfect pair for everyone. Some eye-catching details include large blue Evisu logo printed down the entire back of the jeans and various pocket details. Classic silhouettes such as the 0001, 0005, 0200, Carpenter and Chino also make an appearance in the collection in a tapestry of tones (think raw selvedge darks, green-caste twill, pure indigo and natural dye canvas). As for matching tops, graphic tees come soft washed with vintage western motifs and button-down shirts come in elaborate printed details. If you are feeling the great American vibes this season or looking to pick up some retro nineties blues, do check out Evisu for a good fitting collection to replenish your wardrobe.
