Keep has branched out from their roots in eco-friendly footwear but doesn't veer far from being socially conscious with a new humanitarian effort. This February, Keep contributes to human rights efforts in Burma through non-profit organization, Not On Our Watch. Not On Our Watch aims to raise awareness and resources to provide humanitarian assistance and protection to the vulnerable, marginalized and displaced in the world. The organization was founded by Don Cheadle, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, David Pressman and Jerry Weintraub. For the organization's efforts in Burma, Not On Our Watch aims to help advocate human rights efforts in a torn world where Burma's ethnic tribes are inhumanely attacked, tortured, raped and executed.
The limited edition Keep candle is made from 100% soybean wax and blended to exume a clean sent of ginger and white tea. The candle is entirely organic and hand-poured, and thus burns clean and emits no toxins. It comes housed in a 7.5oz glass tumbler and branded recycled packaging. All profits from the candle will be donated to Not On Our Watch, so amidst the cries for help for Haiti in the recent weeks, do remember there are other urgent causes for all to contribute to as well. The candle is now available through Keep's website, so take some time to check out a good cause.
