Bridging the gap between casual comfort and sophistication, Common Projects has been winning over heart and feet of sneaker fiends who have grown up and out of colorful, chunky kicks are are looking for the kind of refinery one can wear with a nice pair of slacks and a cardigan, or even go the rebellious mile with a suit.
For Spring/Summer 2010, Glavio Girolami and Prathan Poopat of Common Projects bring sneakers in a refreshing clash with summery elements with a pair of perforated low-top sneakers. The entire shoe is crafted from premium leather, but aside from the tongue, toe and heel tab, the rest of the sneakers are wrapped in a perforated white leather panel (with yellow peeking through from the tongue underneath). Championing ventilation both physically and visually, the cheerfully colored number doesn’t sport any other branding or embellishment and stay coolly non-chalant. Wear with shorts, to the beach or in the city, the new kicks are now available alongside other Common Project sneakers online at colette.
