Perhaps call it a strange matrimony of SoCal casual meets Italian luxury, but the result is nothing short of amazing and coveted and manages to be spot-on on the niche of sophistication and urban attitude. This is Gourmet’s first collaborative design effort as the label works with esteemed California-born retailer of coolness (and now also a label of its own), UNDFTD.
The duo worked on Gourmet’s popular high-top Quattro and gave it a simple color-blocking treatment that is more subtle than your regular sneakers. Essentially, the shoes stay monochrome with a white linen printed full grain leather upper with black midsoles, tongue and lining. Four cotton coiled red laces run through the monochrome kicks for a splash of color and fresh attitude, making the shoes pop against even the simplest thing you might don (trusted sweat pants and denim, anyone?) Aside from the red laces, the shoes also come with black, white and royal laces for some switching up.
The collaborative Quattro UNDFTD will be available at all UNDFTD chapters and select US retailers on Feb. 15, and it will be made available for the rest of the world on Feb. 22. via: Gourmet
