Fine purveyor of the classic, simple American footwear that can be worn everyday and anywhere, Generic Surplus, has taken another classic American route by going on a Native American spin. Inspired by the chukkah silhouette and moccasin boots, the Mohawk, takes on the basic mid-top chukkah shape but is adorned with a fringed moccasin trimming around the heel and side. The sneaker boots are crafted from a supple suede upper and enforced with the sneaker vibe with white soles and heel pull tab, keeping the Mohawks more street and slightly less vintage native outdoor. Unlike classic chukkah boots, the Mohawks come with flat waxed laces for a clean, contemporary look. The sneakers come in various earthy and classic shades of browns, black and greys that would work with everyman, and for those seeking some color for spring, red and navy versions will also be made available alongside the rest on Feb. 13 at INVINCIBLE.
