Last season, new sneaker maker Android Homme released a limited edition Propulsion II with an interesting radiating puffy back panel and collar in a very simple palette of black, white and silver, winning the hearts of sneaker fiends with purposeful simplicity. This season, continuing on the success of the monochrome Propulsion II, the Android Homme has remade the iconic silhouette in an all-over Zinc Metal colorway reminiscent of the blockbuster humanoids.
The label itself, while positioned to purvey fine sneakers that fuse the luxe and street, do have an interesting metaphorical depth to set it apart from the rest. The sneakers and products are designed to metaphorically reflect that humans are programmed beings, not far from robots and computers, thus challenging people to reformat and upgrade to new software (sneakers, of course) to better individual and collective results. The opulent high-top with a wrapped ankle strap, while attention-grabbing with its shiny upper, should work gorgeously with dark selvedge denim and a simple plain white tee for the warmer seasons. The full-grain leather sneakers with soft pigskin lining come in a limited run of 200 pairs an re now available for purchase at select retailers!
