There is no underestimating Kazuki Kuraishi, as his kzk line with http://adidas.com/originals”>adidas Originals by Originals (ObyO) is evident of the designer’s quest to perfect details with surprising twist, and his creative versatility. In the previous preview of the http://freshnessmag.com/2010/01/14/adidas-originals-by-originals-springsummer-2010-kzk-apparel-detailed-look/”>adidas ObyO kzk Spring/Summer 2010 line, the overall vibe is energetic, street ready and leaning slightly towards sports performance with iconic sportswear pieces such as a contemporary take on the vintage golf jacket.

Now, with pleasant surprise, the other portion of the Spring/Summer 2010 line veers in a different direction, aiming for a preppy schoolboy look. Of course, with Kuraishi’s need to revamp, invent and leaving no detail uncovered. As an instance of testament, the school boy blazer is remade with a flexible polyester body and topped with four asymmetrically positioned pockets for a contemporary twist, but it is kept elegant and classic with generous ribbon trimming. The blazer is then layered over a slim-fitted white button down with a striped tie-pattern placket, imitating the school boy uniform while eliminating the presence of a tie. Interestingly, the zipped up pocket detail as seen on the plaid hooded jackets and black basic tee also finds itself onto the button down. Pulling the grown-up school boy look together, the suit comes with matching front-pleated pants, all redolent of the uniformed days but more flattering than before.

Other than spotlighting on designs, another credit that goes to Kuraishi for being a multi-talented designer is his ability to scope out great collaborative partners. In true kzk fashion, after collaborating with http://neighborhood.jp” target=”_blank”>NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD) and such, this season marks an injection of fresh creative juice from Hong Kong design collective, CLOT, and Japan’s DJ Group MINTOS. The work with MINTOS consummated into a line-up of think, supple tees, jerseys and track suits featuring the special MINTOS’ lion graphic alongside a tagline “MINTOS At The Controls” and both thehttp://adidas.com/originals/com/#/content” target=”_blank”> adidas Originals logo and subtle stamp of kzk logo.

Last but not least, when the wearer is due for a PE session run around the track, kzk has the sports gear covered as well with a tonal nylon hooded jacket paired with matching black shorts. For those who are seeking something lighter, the grey track jacket created in hand with MINTOS comes with a matching grey shorts as well. So, stay dressed up or dressed down all within one collection and stay tuned for these at adidas ObyO kzk retailers!
