Nike writes a new chapter in football history with the launch of the latest NikeFootball + Training Program which is a world first in Mercurial technology. This launch marks a revolutionary start in National Team Kit Design for the footballers. For the unfamiliar the Mercurials, it is a football kit consisting of one of the lightest soccer cleats engineered to keep footballers quick on their feet and give them complete ball control, the Mercurial Blade which protects footballers against tackles and goal-keeping gloves. The new drop is the Mercurial Superfly II which is a 2.0 upgrade of the Mercurial Superfly. The boots adopt Flywire technology which provides optimal support while drastically reducing weight.
Check out Nike Football's live streaming of the launch which includes an up-close-and-personal interview with Cristiano Ronaldo, videos of Ronaldo introducing his speed test and a walk through the new Mercurial Superfly which has adaptive studs for different conditions. The 24-year old Portuguese footballer is one of the highest-paid football player and recently transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid. Ronaldo came into the game with quite a bang as the then 17-year old footballer scored two goals on his debut game against Moreirense. Images via: Nike Football - Facebook
