Following up to the success of Panasonic's range of Micro Four Thirds cameras are newly developed DMC-G2 which is the second version of the popular DMC-G2 model. It is stated as the world's first interchangeable lens system camera with touch control shooting. The benefit of this touch control system allows the auto focus of subject just by touching it on the LCD.
The body is still compact and light weight and shoots with a 12.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor with a new Venus Engine HD II integrated Intelligent Resolution technology assuring high image quality in photo and movie formats. It also features the double Live View function with large and bright 3.0 inch 460,000 dot free angle Intelligent LCD and 1,440,000 dot 1.4x Live View Finder. HD movie can also be shot in AVCHD Lite and played back with HDMI output on HDTV.
