Mission of clandestine nature, unfamiliar terrains, combative civilians, and enemy fires bearing down… the last thing a special operation operator should worry about is his own equipments failing him. Taking lessons learned on actual battlefield data and inputs from warfighters, including operators from USSOCOM, designers at Nike engineered the SFB (Special Forces Boots) in part to address shortfalls on the standard issue variants.

Equipped with a poly-nylon upper that ensures lightness and ventilation while suede overlays strengthen bonded seams, in part to reduce chafing on the wearer. A special sockliner improves cushioning while the articulated Nike FREE outsole provides flex traction on difficult surfaces. Suitable for any environment under any conditions, the mid-top version of the Nike SFB is currently available at

I would love to field these boots for me and my soldiers in Afghanistan. the terrain is rocky and a lighter boot is definatly needed. This is a light weight boot that wouldn't trip you up. I have 7 Soldiers with me right now in Afghanistan. How can we get these boots?
