adidas Originals by Originals – Jeremy Scott – Fall/Winter 2010 | Preview

By - March 17th, 2010

After sending a troop of models decked out in dazzling bejeweled pieces that beckon for attention down the runway at New York Fashion Week, one of fashion’s most ostentatious, Jeremy Scott heads to Paris during Paris Fashion Week to showcase his latest work with adidas Originals by Originals, which has been going strong for seasons now. The preview is conducted based on the concept of a glamorous showroom where Scott mingled with media and retail partners to explain his inspiration and share design insight for the season.

Some interesting pieces spotted including a continued exploration and adventure with the tongue. While previously the adidas Originals Trefoil logo and actual sneaker tongues have been magnified and multiplied respectively, this season we spot what seems like a pair of Attitude Hi spotting a New York license plate for tongue (perhaps a tribute to the designer’s city?). Other than the licensed New York kicks, another standout piece is a pair of black hi-top sneaker boots that is otherwise subtle if not for an intricate medieval inspired embroidery on the tongue.

After the showroom, key media and retail partners joined Jeremy Scott for an intimate dinner. Friends and supporters such as Mark The Cobra Snake and even fashion maestro Karl Lagerfeld made appearances at the dinner.
