Also known as "The Shoe Banned By NBA", the release of Air Jordan I marked the great year of 1985, alongside other significant events-- say, Michael Jordan winning Rookie of the Year and playing in the All-Star Game. The Air Jordan I were not only the first shoe to be worn in the NBA in multiple colors, it was also quickly banned by NBA soon after its release. However, Michael Jordan continued to wear these shoes on court and was fined 5,000USD each time he wore them to play.
This week, one of the most sought-after variants of the Air Jordan I was released and it will be hitting Proper this Saturday, alongside the Jordan 25th Anniversary Retro III and IV. These long overdue Air Jordan I KO are revived in full vintage treatment with canvas uppers. They are available in two colorways, white/black/red and white/red. If you haven't gotten your pair yet, do mark your calendars to pay Proper a visit this weekend.
