After Bodega reworked CONVERSE's Poor Man's Weapon into a sky-scraper hi-top that can be worn coolly with the top rolled down, the Boston retailer is onto its next project and is bringing its rugged muted shades back to the classic LACOSTE Esteban.
This collaboration is significant as it marks the first collaborative work ever done on the Esteban silhouette. Bodega drew inspiration from Native American influences and selected an understated, matte brown Nubuck leather for the upper. The muted brown upper is balanced with tan soles and brown-on-brown leather embroidered Bodega tongue tag for a reserved, tonal look. The collar lining features a print reminiscent of traditional Native American prints and textiles and come with three sets of interchangeable laces. Only a total of 250 pairs are made and the collaborative kicks are set to launch on April 3 at Bodega and some other select global retail locations such as Hanon and Solebox.
