http://nike.com/nikeskateboarding”>Nike SB rider Eric Koston has been releasing great kicks since he moved from Lakai to Nike SB, and thus far, some of the best designs pay homage to Koston’s birth place, Thailand. Previously we had reported on the http://freshnessmag.com/2009/09/21/nike-sb-dunk-low-eric-koston-preview/”>blue, red and gold Dunk Low set to release this summer, and for those who can’t wait long enough for that release, here is another golden piece (literally and figuratively) from Eric Koston that is also inspired by Thailand, and it is set to release really soon on April 27.
The new Nike SB Dunk High Premium is tonal and grandiose in gold, mimicking the golden Buddah statues commonly found in Thai temples. Metallic gold leather is lavishly mixed in with gold suede, and even the Swoosh is done up with a golden sheen on the Dunk High Premium. The only pops of color comes from the red piping around the Swoosh; and to add textural depth, the lateral ankle area is airbrushed with a diamond cut pattern. It is quite a rare gem to find golden Nike SB Dunks, so if you are not afraid of a little high profile luxury, do look out for these next week.
Release Date: April 27th (Tuesday)
