Debuted at the end of last year and keeping sneakerheads everywhere extremely intrigued and anxious, the Skittle-colored Nike Lunar Chukka Woven+ had made quite a splash in the sneaker world since it was first previewed at the end of 2009. While we had previously reported on the Nike Lunar Chukka Woven+ QS “Rainbow” which is set to drop at Bow & Arrows this Saturday, its navy counterpart will be available exclusively at SOPH. SHOP and Isetan Shinjuku this Saturday as well.
The Nike Lunar Chukka Woven+ is a hybrid of possibly two of the most popular features in Nike running shoes. First, the woven detail comes from the extremely popular Nike Footscape Woven which debuted in 1994, and the “Lunar” part comes from the Lunarlite foam technology soles used on models such as the Nike Lunaracer. The best part about this shoes is not its fun-loving upper that inspires some lunacy surrounding chasing leprechauns and pots of gold, but that the woven upper will keep runners’ feet ventilated in the steamier months. For those on the stateside, if you can’t get your hands on the navy version, like previously reported, the white/rainbow version will still be available for purchase starting this weekend. via: SOPH.
