Brooklyn Machine Works x adidas Consortium Cycling Shoes

By - April 27th, 2010

Since even the crazy volatile spring weather is not stopping the cycling fanatics from taking their wheels out, gear shouldn’t be an issue in the least. For the love of the warmer weather (slightly debatable depending on the hour) and the sport of cycling, Brooklyn’s BMX build shop, Brooklyn Machine Works, has collaborated with adidas Consortium to revive the latter’s heritage cycling shoes– the adidas Cycling Shoes. This model has been specially designed to suit the needs of a cyclist regardless of how hard or leisurely he pedals on, and has been around since 1989.

Aside from the original detailing, color and functionality, the revived collaborative model is co-branded with Brooklyn Machine Works logo embossed on tongue and the inside of the shoes. In a stunning red, blue and silver colorway, whoever believed functional items are dull, are sadly mistaken. These cycling shoes will be hitting stores soon on May 15 at retailers such as VA.

For example, cheaper bikes have toe clips but you can pedal more efficiently with clipless pedals that lock into cleats fixed to the bottom of your cycling shoes.
