GUCCI Icon Temporary London Opening | Event Recap

Yes, time flies. It has been half a year since GUCCI embarked on its temporary pop-up sneaker shop tour, GUCCI Icon-Temporary, with DJ Mark Ronson. In this four-stop tour, Gucci Icon-Temporary had just made its third stop in London and opened with quite a music fiesta last week.

The new GUCCI Icon-Temporary location opened on Earlham Street, Seven Dials, Covent Garden and the opening celebration was joined not just by award winning music producer/artist, Mark Ronson, who had also collaborated on designing limited edition GUCCI-Ronson sneakers, but the star spangled event sported attendees such as socialite Poppy Delevigne, artist M.I.A., Lorahlee Astor, Tolula Adeyemi, George Lamb, Margo Stilley and more. After the opening hosted by Frida Giannini, creative director of Gucci, and Ronson, the party moved over to Ronnie Scotts, Soho, where over 400 guests were welcomed to the renowned jazz club. The after party hit several high notes with an ultra-sonic line-up of performances from Friendly Fires, The Misshapes, Seb Chew, uffie, Matthew Stone, Patrick Wolf, and even Duran Duran.

Check out the studded party and enjoy the recap of the third and second to last stop of the GUCCI Icon-Temporary pop-up venture (with previous stops in New York City and Miami.) If you missed out on the London leg, fret not, just be sure to catch the next opening in Japan, due to open this summer in June.
