In conjunction with http://gabrieldishaw.com”>Gabriel Dishaw’s solo exhibitionhttp://freshnessmag.com/2010/04/28/nike-shoe-sculptures-not-so-new-shoes-earth-day-exhibition-by-gabriel-dishaw”> “(Not So) New Shoes”, which is also the http://360seegallery.com/”>360SEE Earth Day Show, the junk artist has custom made three colorways of the iconic Nike Air Force 1 sneakers for sale. These limited edition custom made sneakers are reworked from the all-white Air Force 1, with the Swoosh remade from recycled found material such as computer parts (circuit boards, chips, wires…), old typewriters and other sorts of tech discards. The custom made Nike Air Force 1 comes in Green, Orange and Copper, and each colorway comes with matching laces. Only 5 pairs are available per colorway and they are custom made to order. All proceeds from these sneakers will go towards the Earth Day Network. Sadly, these are no longer available at Chicago’s http://stalfred.com”>St. Alfred, but they will be available at 360SEE Gallery Chicago throughout the length of the exhibition, if supplies are still available.
