Louis Vuitton’s New Bond Street Mansion

To call this a store, would be pure blasphemy to the gods of art and design and luxury. The new mammoth Louis Vuitton location on London’s trendy Bond Street lives up to its “Maison” label, and is absolutely more of an opulent, thoughtful mansion than just a space. The new London Louis Vuitton Maison is designed by architect Pete Marino, who is also the brains behind Louis Vuitton’s Champs-Élysées store.

The new mansion spans over an epic four floors, but it doesn’t only house the highly coveted and carefully crafted Louis Vuitton goods– it also has a “VIP Apartment” and a lavish “librarie” with a magnificent collection of limited edition art and art books. The assemblage includes everything ranging from Damien Hirst to Gilbert & George. Basically, whatever you desire and can name, Louis Vuitton Maison in London will probably have it for you.

The light-filled and grandiose space is a number of firsts for Louis Vuitton, as it is not only the first store to possess a VIP apartment, it is also the largest single-brand store in London, spanning across 1,500 square-feet. Wallpaper Magazine took a tour of the impressive space with Marino and gives the world a photographic documentation of what luxury really means. via: Wallpaper
