atmos x Levis Sta Prest 3/4 Pants

The label’s innovation and creativity have been stagnant in recent decades as competitions forced it to go on the defensive. So it is easy to forget that http://us.levi.com” target=”_blank”>Levi’s made huge strides in it 100+ history, in not only the creation of the modern denim silhouette s, but the introduction of “technical” fabric like wrinkle resistant twill.

Introduced in 1964, the Sta-Prest, a play-on-word for Stay Pressed, was Levi’s solution to the unsightly annoyance. Similar to its selvedge cousins, the Sta-Prest is going through a revival this summer, via Japanese retailer http://atmos-tokyo.com” target=”_blank”>atmos. Limited in number, the atoms x Levi’s Sta-Prest 3/4 Pants is a coordinated collection along with http://freshnessmag.com/2010/06/02/atmos-x-lacoste-cabstan-vulc-collection/” target=”_blank”>atmos’ collaboration with Lacoste. Each pair cropped to 3/4 for good measure to the scorching summer heat, along with bright blue hints along the lining and pocket button for accents. Finally, the signature denim stitches — two intersecting arcs, printed instead, on the rear pocket.

The Sta-Prest 3/4 Pants by Levi’s and atmos will be available at select atmos retail locations in Japan latter this month.
