Built on an essence that rages against capitalism, inspired by the Sex Pistol’s tour, “Filthy Lucre”, LUKER by NEIGHBORHOOD, is every bit anachronistic down to very bone, the very last button. It is a fairly young diffusion line, having only debuted earlier this year, but it has caught the eyes of many and its latest collaborative work with adidas Originals by Originals Kazuki Kuraishi (kzk) attests to its success and insouciant bad boy allure.
For Fall/Winter 2010, the rebellious look that has staple and beloved by fans still hangs tough. A little bit of punk, a little bit of grunge, and everything rock and roll, the collection seems to be built upon details. A ruching here, a stud there, an embroidered patch here, a piped trim there. The look book has just been released online at LUKER by NEIGHBORHOOD, and thus far, the stand out pieces have been the jackets with detailed embroidery, tailored blazer with a defiant edge, biker jackets, leather, leather, and more leather galore.
