The North Face Standard Presents: The Big Wall Exhibition

By - July 5th, 2010

At The North Face’s new home in Shibuya, The North Face Standard is not only a space which houses products, but it is an interactive community space where exhibitions and events are held from time to time for those who are interested in and passionate about the outdoor lifestyle. Just opened not too long ago on June 25, is [The Big Wall] Exhibition featuring photographs of El Capitan (a vertical rock formation at Yosemite National Park, and one of rock climbers’ favorite challenges on Earth). The exhibition not only showcases photographs snapped by photographer Yuri Shibuya, but also features the legendary climbing film, El Capitan, shot in the 60’s and release in the 70’s, and was subsequently recognized on various occasions such as at the Trento Film Festival and the Banff Mountain Festival.

The exhibition will be running through August 15th, so if you are in the area and looking for something interesting to fill a summer day with, drop by The North Face Standard. Just be warned that wanderlust comes as a side effect of the exhibition.
