Your parents told you, your teacher too, in addition to that so-called friend of yours who hooked you up with a blind date. "Don't judge a book by its cover", they warned. Now you have the proof. German auto tweaker, Carlsson Autotechnik announced the Carlsson Smart C25 Edition, a converted Smart ForTwo that act as the chase vehicle for the monstrosity, the Carlsson C25 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG.
Lowered about 15mm at the front suspensions and 35mm at the rear two, the engineers at Carlsson upgraded the vehicle with additional components worth about $30,000. Improvements included LED daytime running lights, "stealth" elements such as blacken grill and headlight casings. They also revamped the interior, upholstered the entire cockpit with Nappa leather and Alcantara surfacing in 2-tone. Matching door panels, graphite finishes, orange-matte black accents... you get the picture.
The base car with labor, the exterior works, the interior finishes, and the parts all added up to around $60,000. Sadly, Carlsson will make the Smart C25 available to the 25 lucky owners of the Carlsson C25 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG. via: WCF
