URSUS BAPE Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook | By Keiichi Nitta

When WTAPS‘ creative director Tetsu “TET” Nishiyama took the helm of the new start-up, URSUS BAPE, last year, he was mindful not to alienate BAPE’s loyal followers. A derivative of A Bathing Ape franchise, URSUS BAPE pursues a focus Nishiyama was already familiar with, that niche where street wear and progressive design meet, something that Nishiyama did a few years prior with his own label. Hence, URSUS BAPE will still retain that playful attitude BAPE fans are familiar, but with a rawness and experimental edge progressive designs are known for. Something quite apparent in the Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook, shot by the once Terry Richardson assistant, Keiichi Nitta.
