SATURDAYS Quiksilver Limited Collection Launch | Event Recap

The rolling white-tipped waves of Montauk Point are closer than you think as Saturdays, New York City’s only surf shop, hosted the launch of Quiksilver Limited Collection last evening. Surfer dudes, bike snobs, tanned beauties, and statuesque models all came to enjoy lou out NYC-style overplenty of artisanal bratwursts, beer and wine. The celebration marked the collaboration between Quiksilver and National Forest, a homonym often confused with a governmental entity but instead is a creative collective with a quirky streak. For the latest Quiksilver Limited Collection, the virtuosos aimed to bring back a piece of the psychedelic 60s with Moon Rocks and Other Cosmic Things, as a method to transcribe positive thinking in the current time of exigency. The Quiksilver x National Forest collection is an extensive 30+ pieces line with windbreakers, hoodies, shirts, accessories, and of course, the all-important board shorts. Each will include emerald colored renditions, either in label tags or overall colorways, as a reminder of the message from National Forest, Things Will Be Okay. The Quiksilver Limited Collection by National Forest for Fall 2010 is available now at select retailers, Quiksilver flagship stores, its official online store, and of course at Saturdays. So hang ten, boys and girls, rest easy for the summer is long…
