Apple Covent Garden | Inside Look

By - August 9th, 2010

It seems as if Apple is not stopping with its retail operation expansion recently, with mammoth Apple stores opening simultaneously across the globe. There were the Apple Store in Paris and Shanghai which had both just opened their doors not too long ago, and now, Apple Store opens up a new location in London’s Covent Garden to join in the pack. The new Covent Garden location is an interesting juncture of old and new. The building has been around since the late 19th century, and it took quite some hearty restoration efforts to clean it up to Apple’s clean white and chrome image. However, keeping a part of the history alive to juxtapose against cutting-edge gadgetry, Apple kept some of the original moldings from the space and added old world touches such as English oak work benches and elaborate archways and beautiful skylights. via: Wallpaper//CNET
