China-base athletic lifestyle label Li-Ning took a huge step in its ever expanding marketing plan here in the US by signing a multi-year contact with Evan Turner this morning. The #2 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, Turner is a multiple awards recipient, including the Naismith Award, John Wooden Award and the Associated Press College Basketball Player of the Year title. The former Ohio State Buckeyes helped the team to reached the Big Ten Conference Championship this year and signed with the Philadelphia 76ers to a 3-year deal worth around $12 million dollars. Though the specific of the Li-Ning was not disclosed, Turner joins the Li-Ning’s growing roster of athletes which includes of Shaquille O’Neal and Baron Davis. A global market campaign with Turner is set to launch immediately. In addition, his own signature line of footwear and apparel will debut sometimes next year.
