Maybe you noticed the dip in temperature or the nightly whirling of cool breeze. Yep, fall is here and so are the slews of new releases. First as a collection preview the week before, Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2010 line came to fruition on Thursday when it launched in New York and Los Angeles. With a queue of 100+ to bear witness at the time, there is little doubt the Lafayette Street staple still reign. While on the subject of “staple”, Staple Design announced its 3 sets of designs for the ongoing History of Oakley project. Jeff Staple’s pairing of Oakley Frogskin and Holbrook is a perfect juxtaposition that exercises as part informational, part history lesson, and all design with a purpose. Both are available now at Lower East Side’s Reed Space. Right down the same street is Self Edge, the cathedral of selvedge denims. We sat down with co-owners Kiya Babzani and Andrew Chen for an in-depth interview to learn more about the enigmatic and nearly sainted realm of selvedge. Of course, the week was full of other notable news, both in its breadth and depth. The Hundreds touched down on the East Coast (finally) with impressive storefront in SoHo. Another was the new Flight Club on 812 Broadway and its 1300+ sneaker wall. When the sun sets, tennis pros come out to play on the Hundson Waterfront for Nike Tennis Primetime Knockout. So browse through the festivities which took place on the last week of August and Summer 2010. Hello Fall 2010!

Supreme Fall/Winter 2010 Collection | Launch Recap
A rare sight indeed these days, despite the slump in economy and advent of online store, Supreme’s seasonal launch still drew a queue. Simply put, Supreme is the ultimate survivor.
The Hundreds New York Grand Opening | Event Recap

Flight Club @ 812 Broadway
Be WOWED like we were at Flight Club’s new destination on 812 Broadway. Astounding not only by the selection of sneakers and hats, but the simple layout that display the shear number of them, all on the same wall! Perhaps Guinness Book of World Records should make a new category – The World’s Largest Sneaker Wall !!!
Freshness Feature – West meets East: A Conversation with Kiya and Andrew of Self Edge
Co-Owner Andrew Chen mentioned the “intensity” of this feature on his blog. Indeed, to get the most comprehensive point-of-view on the world of selvedge denim, we had to be. After all, no passion comes without some fanaticism in its fold, something all too familiar to Andrew Chen and Kiya Babzani.
Apple New iPod Touch + iPod Nano + iPod Shuffle | Unveiled Today
After a brief detour to revamp Apple’s current best seller, the Apple iPhone 4, Steve Jobs and the gang return to the gadget that started it all – the iPod, or more specifically the new iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and iPod Shuffle. In fact, it was the most dramatic product range upgrade to date and for good reason. Jobs admitted the sale of iPods have slumped in recent years due to market maturity and the cannibalization of market share by iPhone. So the Guru of One Infinity Loop hopes the new “re-launch” of iPod will help to shore up sales.

KAWS Passing Through Exhibition Hong Kong | Preview + Dos Equis by KAWS | Launch
Continued on the momentum from his very well received solo exhibition at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Brooklyn-base artist KAWS is pushing onward in his quest of “global dominance” with 2 large scale projects – one is the much publicized collaboration with Mexican beer Dos Equis. We already know a few folks crossing the border just get some of the Mexico-only bottles. The other is a preview for Passing Through, an exhibition to take place in Hong Kong in October. For which we also know a few folks planning to cross the globe to get some of the Hong Kong-only memorabilia. Go figure…
