As the days draw closer to Photokina 2010, camera makers had been itching to “up” one another with the latest photography gears. Announced today by Nikon is the Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera, a mid-level market entry in Nikon DX format. Encased in a durable yet portable body made from magnesium alloy, the D7000 features a new 16.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor in conjunction with EXPEED 2 image processor. A new AF system gives user the flexibility of 39 focus points and 2,016 pixel RGB metering sensor, guarantee accuracy and clarity in image quality. As with most digital cameras on the market today, the Nikon added a video function on the D7000, allows a Full HD video recording in 1080p24.

The Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera along with a 18-105mm VR lens kit will be available for purchase next month at the retail price of $1499
