Last week, New York City was overrun by mile-long legs, editors in killer heels, men in glossy, three-piece suits and smart tortoiseshell glasses, and they have all congregated at the new home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City at Lincoln Center. Freshness was jetting about town bringing everyone the first peek at what’s to come from Spring/Summer 2011 from the strong and beloved like Duckie Brown and Simon Spurr, and the loud and ostentatious Jeremy Scott, whom we had scored a quick backstage Q&A session with. Also, one of industrial design’s baddest, Marc Newson, has opened his Transport exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery in Chelsea, and we dropped by for a media preview to check out the boat, the jets, and the spaceship. Meanwhile, Nike geared up for the exhibition as well and has re-released its collaborative Nike Zvezdocheka with Marc Newson at 21 Mercer.
Exhibition wise, aside from Marc Newson and a slew of gallery openings in Chelsea on Thursday night, 13th Witness had also opened his solo exhibition of recent works at Lower East Side’s Reed Space. BMW’s MINI proved that it is not all about cars and released some information about an upcoming electric scooter concept, perfect for urbanites in the city looking for an alternative to paddling.
Last but not least, adidas Originals gave us an in-depth look into everything about its Fall/Winter 2010 collection with quite a hefty lookbook, and shooting game sensation, HALO, has raked in 200 million in a mere 24 hours.
Take a quick peek at the must-knows of the week, and stay on top of things!

Nike Court Ballistic 2.2 – Rafael Nadal Tennis Ball Edition
Since Rafael Nadal is currently ruling over the courts with a new title, the champion of US Open 2010, this memorabilia should come in as highly coveted and exclusive– the Nike Court Ballistic 2.2, Rafael Nadal Tennis Ball edition. These were on sale at the US Open, but this version, as autographed by Serena Williams as well, is perhaps the rarest and fairest of them all.
MINI Scooter E Concept
