Jeff Koons – “Popeye Sculpture” Solo Exhibition @ Galerie Jerome de Noirmont

By - September 21st, 2010

One of the most coveted, renowned and not to mention, expensive, artists alive, Jeff Koons, is back for his third solo exhibition in Paris at the Galerie Jerome de Noirmont, where he held his first solo exhibition back in 1997. This exhibition continues to exemplify what the world loves about Jeff Koons– a considerate artist who is concerned with the viewer’s experience. As such, his classic “Popeye Sculpture” series makes a happy appearance in a whimsically curated space. While these may loop like inflatable pool balloons, the animal sculptures are actually crafted from aluminum, and some motifs will be familiar to Koons fans, such as the monkeys. The exhibition is running now through November 20. If one happens to be in Paris, the Koons and Murakami exhibition (at Chateau de Versailles) should pack a nice artistic punch. images via: Arrested Motion
