In ways, we failed appreciate the scope of the announcement during August’s Shock The World press conference here in New York City, where Casio executives mentioned their push of G-Shock in 2011. From the looks of products intended to launch this month, we would guess the mentioned “push” is underway. The October 2010 Collection is one of the more expansive thus far, 4 retro DW-6900 models reworked with Metallic Colors and 6 models from the G-500 series, each incorporated the new Color Dials design elements. For those looking for something more on the functional side, G-Shock is bring back the GF-8250, an updated version of GF-8200 or commonly known as the Frogman. And finally, the GW-3000 and GW-3500 collection, which bear many similarities to the Casio Pathfinder, timepieces designed to suit outdoor activities. The Casio G-Shock Collection for October 2010 will arrive in-store sequentially throughout the month.
