Inspired by power and the mountains that house them, but built for the streets, adidas Originals and Burton had come together to fill in a niche, but important void in any snowboarder’s life. And the void in question, is what should a boarder do and wear after he or she gets off the slopes and has unhinged themselves from the board? Drawing inspiration from snowboarding and the great mountains of Vermont, the duo reinvented key styles such as the Superstar 80s and created new silhouettes, and an apparel collection for the snowboarder.
The palette is kept neutral and aligned with the woods in browns and orange hunting accents. The snowboarding boot (specifically, the Burton Freestyle) has been married to the great American work boot in the new collaborative high-top Work Boot sneaker. The new high-top has been lined with fur, comes with a molded key zip pocket and vulcanized outsoles to keep things warm, dry, comfortable and street. The chukkah-inspired vulc mid is lined with fleece, wood-print (a running motif in the collection) sock liner, leather heel zipper and vulcanized soles as well. Meanwhile, the Superstar 80s has been remade with D-Rings for an outdoor feel, complete with orange flat laces.
All sneakers in the collection come with the special adidas Originals x Burton leather tongue tag. When you have the slopes on your mind, take them with you back into the city with the right kicks and the right step.
