Art world mogul, Jeffery Deitch is not only one of the most influential figures in contemporary art today, he is a force of the market. Deitch, the owner of the ubiquitous gallery, Deitch Projects, in New York City, has recently moved from the Big Apple to the City of Angels, after having been named the new director of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in downtown Los Angeles. Following his move, Deitch had purchased a classic spanish bungalow in Los Feliz, whose previous owners include the ever stylish actor, Cary Grant. Nowness visits Dietch at his new home, which may be still under construction from the various projects he has planned out in terms of decoration, is already well on its way to becoming a gallery in its own right. Cue pieces from Aaron Young looming over the bed and original sketches by Warhol. This is not your usual cribs tour. This is so much better and well, more artistic, than that.
