mita sneakers x adidas – Rod Laver Vintage

By - November 9th, 2010

The adidas Rod Laver Vintage was the model that was used in the Consortium Project a while back where leading sneaker stores from around the world participated to create an exclusively designed sneakers. This exact same model is now used as a base by one of Tokyo’s finest sneaker stores, mita sneakers for a collaboration project.

Inspiration for this model came from the Tobacco model which was released back in 1978 and the uppers use basic suede and leather combination on top of vulcanized sole. Light brown color is coordinated through out the sneakers and mita sneakers logo is embossed on the tongue to mark the special collaboration. Only 300 pairs will be released in Japan and Europe at select stores. It is scheduled to drop early next year, and mita sneakers’ online store will start taking pre-orders this Saturday, November 13th.
