Nike has been putting more effort into expanding its snowboarding line-up, with a fresh and continually growing team which now includes Danny Kass, Justin Bennee and Gigi Ruf. Aside from a significantly larger collection of snowboarding boots (which has now included more styles and colorways for girls), Nike Snowboarding has also created more snowboarding apparel to go with the shoes.
This season, Nike Snowboarding’s outerwear ranges from classic and utilitarian, like the all black Gore Juniper Tech Jacket with Gore-Tex 2-Layer performance shell, to quirky and convertible, like the Vernon 3-in-1 Jacket/Vest, which looks like a puffy vest layered over a plaid button down, but is actually treated with Stormfit 10,000 waterproof rating with removable powder skirt. Aside from the men’s collection, women on the slopes enjoy four new styles, some specially adjustable and cinched at the waist for a more feminine touch, and some with large buttons and a pea-coat like styling for a cuter fit.
Meanwhile, pants are kept in monochromatic tones for easy matching with the jackets and boots, but each come with highly technical specs a snowboarder would appreciate, such as inseam vents, Stormfit 10,000 waterproof rating, pant to jacket interface and fully-sealed seams.
The apparel and footwear are currently available for purchase, so look up your nearest retailer for some new gear to hit the slopes with.
